Born into a family of musicians, she graduated with Honors from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest with a major in piano. Now teaching classical and jazz piano at the Academy, Fanni has also achieved international recognition as a keyboardist, vocalist and composer with multiple recordings and awards.
Her composition “No Time To Lose” won the Grand Prize at the International Songwriting Contest in France in 2010. That same year, Jazziz Magazine published a review and a CD-attachment with one of her original songs. In 2012, she won the “Best Jazz Album of the Year” in Hungary’s most prominent award, the Fonogram Awards with the Mrs. Columbo Band. The band released several recordings, and played in music festivals. They participated on the Eurovision contest in 2012.
Fanni is also known from her music written for films, radio commercials and documentaries. In 2015 she was invited to work with the famous film-director Pal Sandor as a music specialist, and instructor in the movie “Vandorszineszek”. Her latest work is for “The Amphibious,” a documentary film about a paralympic champion Robert Suba, who won the silver medal in kayak in Rio.
Fanni has performed in numerous concerts with well-known Hungarian artists as a session musician. Her musical world is a unique mixture of many different genres, full of humor, playfulness, deep thoughts and surprises.
